Irrigation Supervisor

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Irrigation Supervisor in Seychelles within the agriculture industry. The role covers supervision of irrigation operations, maintenance and troubleshooting, team coordination and reporting, with a stated salary of KShs 190,000 to 230,000.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operation of irrigation systems and plan schedules based on crop, plant and landscape water needs
• Monitor water usage, adjust schedules to weather and soil moisture, and check drainage for waterlogging
• Inspect systems regularly for leaks, blockages and pressure problems, and keep accurate records of water usage, schedules and maintenance
• Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance, repairs and replacement of pumps, pipes, valves, sprinklers and drip systems
• Supervise irrigation staff and field teams, allocate daily tasks, train them on practices and safety, and monitor performance
• Monitor soil moisture, weather and crop performance, assess irrigation efficiency and prepare regular reports

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Irrigation, Horticulture, Landscaping, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture or a related field
• At least 8 years of practical experience in irrigation operations
• Proven experience supervising irrigation teams and managing irrigation systems
• Experience in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, golf courses or nurseries is an advantage
