Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff, and assets at Raffles Seychelles. Reporting to the Resort Manager with a dotted‑line to the General Manager, the role leads the security team, oversees training, and guarantees compliance with local health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess staffing needs, create weekly schedules and stay within budget.
• Conduct daily line‑ups, assign tasks, and handle disciplinary counseling.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements comply with Seychelles law and coordinate audits.
• Monitor security staff performance, provide ongoing training and certify new hires.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and maintain departmental cleanliness and equipment condition.
• Prepare work orders for repairs, log daily activities, and manage payroll forecasts.
• Conduct performance appraisals and ensure completion of required certifications.

Required profile

• Strong computer knowledge.
• Excellent English communication; fluency in an additional language is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of hotel services, facilities and security procedures.
• Professional appearance, confidence and leadership abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Initiative‑driven, capable of working independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• Team player who collaborates well with other departments.
