Ship's Store Service Activities Supervisor

About the role

The Ship's Store Service Activities Supervisor will lead the retail, barber/beautician, and laundry operations supporting a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. Acting as the primary liaison between the Contractor and the Government, you will ensure all services meet Navy standards for quality, safety, and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for the Government, addressing operational issues and maintaining open communication.
• Oversee day‑to‑day retail sales, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with Navy instructions.
• Manage barber and beautician services, guaranteeing hygiene, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Direct laundry operations, ensuring timely processing of garments and linens.
• Maintain full accountability for Navy‑owned inventory, conducting audits, tracking stock rotation, and generating compliance reports.
• Supervise and schedule staff across all service areas, providing training and fostering a professional, customer‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
• Proven experience supervising retail or service‑oriented teams, preferably in a military or government environment.
• Strong understanding of Navy policies, supply system requirements, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
