Night Auditor

About the role

Constance Lemuria, a luxury resort on Praslin Island, Seychelles, is looking for a detail‑oriented Night Auditor to ensure financial accuracy and smooth operations during the night shift. You will be the key link between the night and day teams, handling audits, guest transactions, and any issues that arise after hours.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile guest accounts, cash, and credit‑card transactions at shift end using the hotel management system (PMS).
• Verify and audit daily financial records, including room charges, departmental expenses, and revenue entries.
• Prepare and review the night audit report, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Process late check‑ins and check‑outs while maintaining accurate guest records.
• Manage cash handling procedures: counting, securing, and documenting all payments.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally during night hours.
• Communicate outstanding matters to day‑shift staff and ensure seamless handover.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial and guest information.
• Perform system backups and verify proper functioning of computer systems.
• Identify and report operational irregularities or potential fraud to management.
• Assist with additional front‑office duties as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar hotel accounting/auditing role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, accounting procedures, and audit processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling discrepancies or guest concerns.
• Preferred multilingual capabilities and experience in luxury hospitality environments.

Required skills

• Hotel Management System (PMS) proficiency.
• Point of Sale (POS) system proficiency.
• Microsoft Office applications competency.
