Pool Technician

About the role

The Pool Technician will ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of swimming pools at Raffles Seychelles. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for daily maintenance, water quality control, and prompt resolution of any pool‑related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Work a 48‑hour week, adhering to scheduled breaks and meal times.
• Clean and monitor all assigned swimming pools, maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Test pool water daily, record results, and adjust treatment to meet quality standards.
• Inspect pool areas for hazards and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Track water consumption, report abnormalities, and manage material stock levels.
• Perform preventive maintenance on filters, pumps, dosing systems, and chlorinators.
• Carry out repairs on existing pool equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate work logs and detailed reports of completed tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other departments.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
• Ability to maintain a clean and hazard‑free work environment.
• Willingness to adhere to company attendance, uniform, and grooming standards.

Required skills

• Pool water testing and chemical balancing.
• Knowledge of pool filtration systems.
• Experience with pumps, dosing systems, and chlorinators.
• Material and tool inventory management.
