Senior Electrical Technician

About the role

Raffles Seychelles is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel’s physical plant, utility services and staff housing. The role combines hands‑on technical work with mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with engineering management and team leader on improvements and efficiency gains.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance for air‑conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, fire‑and‑life‑safety (FLS) equipment, low‑voltage systems, plumbing, drainage, kitchen and laundry equipment, and building fixtures.
• Coordinate and report any service disruptions to management.
• Attend daily engineering briefings and contribute to consumption reports for power, water, steam and gas.
• Apply safe work practices, preventive maintenance procedures and equipment repairs.
• Mentor and share knowledge with junior technicians.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of trade experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Proactive, practical problem‑solver with the ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Energetic and dynamic personality.
