Assistant F&B Manager

About the role

Kempinski is hiring an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at its hotel in Baie Lazare, Seychelles. The role supports the hotel's vision of being a leader in hospitality and makes the food and beverage offering a key differentiator for the Kempinski brand. The post is a stepping stone to becoming Food & Beverage Head of Department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all rules and regulations, including fire and safety, hygiene and HACCP, are followed
• Drive sales to full potential in the outlets appointed by the F&B Head of Department
• Keep costs in line with sales while maintaining quality (minimum 85% LQA score)
• Promote an entrepreneurial approach and share innovation and new ideas with other hotels through the corporate office
• Report to duty punctually in business attire, following the hotel's dress code and grooming standards, and set an example of courteous service
• Oversee the operations of the appointed outlets and monitor quality and guest satisfaction using Leading Quality Assurance and customer satisfaction surveys
• Assist in preparing the yearly budget and the monthly income statement for each outlet and the department, and attend the monthly performance meeting with Outlet Management
• Manage the consolidated inventory of OS&E together with the Stewarding department
• Take part in staff meetings and hotel trainings, run daily operations briefings with the Executive Chef and daily or weekly F&B meetings when the Head of Department is absent
• Oversee every service at least once a week (breakfast, lunch, dinner, lobby, banqueting, room service, bar)
