Bar Manager - Luxury Resort, Seychelles

About the role

Constance Ephelia, a luxury resort on the island of Mahé in Seychelles, is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to oversee all bar operations, lead a team of bartenders and bar staff and deliver exceptional service to international guests. The role covers profitability, inventory and compliance while maintaining the highest hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise bar staff, ensuring consistent service standards across all shifts
• Manage stock control, ordering and inventory to minimise wastage and maximise profitability
• Develop bar procedures, policies and protocols in line with organisational standards and health and safety regulations
• Create and manage bar menus, including signature cocktails and beverage selections
• Monitor cash handling, reconcile tills and ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting
• Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines and beers to advise guests
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, responsible service of alcohol and health and safety requirements
• Analyse sales data and guest feedback to improve service and revenue
• Support events and functions with other departments and handle guest complaints professionally
• Keep the bar clean and welcoming, and conduct regular staff appraisals and training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field
• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar senior bar role in a luxury hospitality setting
• Strong leadership and people skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving under pressure
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Desirable: luxury resort experience, mixology and cocktail creation, staff training and event coordination
