Electrical Utility Manager (US Navy Program)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Electrical Utility Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and performance of electrical utility systems for a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures safe, reliable power delivery while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operation and maintenance of engine‑driven generators (≥1,000 kW) and associated medium‑voltage equipment and switchgear.
• Oversee electrical distribution systems equivalent to those on Diego Garcia, guaranteeing uninterrupted power supply.
• Implement and maintain a Quality Management System, including accident and incident investigations.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with OSHA, electrical codes, and contract requirements.
• Lead a technical team, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Interface with the Contracting Officer and verify documentation before contract performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience with 1,000 kW+ diesel generators and medium‑voltage systems.
• Minimum 5 years experience with comparable electrical distribution networks.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Management and incident investigation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid passport (≥1 year) and ability to pass medical requirements.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
