Kitchen & Laundry Technician

About the role

The Kitchen & Laundry Technician ensures the reliable operation of all kitchen and laundry equipment in a hotel or resort. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and support smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and control‑system faults.
• Inspect and service ovens, combi ovens, dishwashers, fryers, grills, ranges, mixers, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, exhaust hoods, coffee machines, washing machines, industrial dryers, ironing/pressing machines, steam equipment and finishing units.
• Carry out basic plumbing work related to water supply, drainage and steam connections.
• Respond to urgent breakdowns, minimise equipment downtime and participate in on‑call duties.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external contractors for specialised repairs or spare parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare‑part logs and equipment condition reports.
• Ensure all work follows hotel safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Keep the workshop, tools and work areas clean and organised.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience maintaining equipment in hotels, resorts, commercial kitchens or industrial laundries.
• Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and basic refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a maintenance team.
