Marine Technician

About the role

The Moorings and Sunsail are seeking a Marine Technician to join their team in the Seychelles. This full‑time, permanent position supports a diverse fleet of charter yachts, ensuring they are safe, well‑maintained, and ready for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform turnaround service checks, yacht preparation, and deck washing.
• Brief clients on mechanical systems and safety equipment.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on all yacht equipment and technology.
• Execute proactive daily maintenance, including engine servicing, oil and filter changes.
• Maintain 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke outboard engines for tenders.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls across the fleet.
• Conduct safety briefings and assist clients with queries.
• Support general base operations as directed by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Experience with diesel engines and outboard engines (2‑stroke and 4‑stroke).
• Strong knowledge of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing.
• Practical problem‑solving ability and comfort working under tight deadlines.
• Customer‑focused attitude with good communication skills.
• Sociable, positive personality and strong teamwork orientation.
