About the role
The Transient (T‑Line) Production Superintendent will lead T‑Line operations for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia, ensuring aviation safety, compliance, and effective training of personnel. This position oversees aircraft parking, fuel and cargo coordination, and supports mission requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide training for all contractor employees performing tasks in the T‑Line annex and maintain proper documentation.
- Oversee aviation safety compliance and ensure tasks follow established safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Serve as the single source of information for T‑Line annex and Base Operating Support Contractor (BOSC) requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement parking plans for diverse aircraft on two ramps, working with Navy, USAF, coalition forces, and Air Mobility Command (AMC) contract flights.
- Manage a 10‑person T‑Line shop, facilitating on‑the‑job training (OJT) and annual training for assigned personnel.
- Coordinate with the AMC annual maintenance contract to fulfill non‑organic Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) requests.
- Work closely with Fuels and Air Traffic Control Officer (ATOC) units to schedule aircraft refueling and cargo requirements.
- Notify Air Operations, AMC, ATOC, and T‑Line management of any aircraft maintenance delays or operational issues to minimize disruptions.
Required profile
- Minimum six (6) years of production experience in aviation maintenance or operations, preferably with large‑body aircraft.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Current and valid driver’s license (U.S. or International).
- Proven capability in developing and coordinating aircraft parking plans and collaborating with multiple agencies.
- Experience managing a shop of up to 10 personnel, including OJT and annual training.
- Familiarity with coordinating non‑organic AGE requests through the AMC annual maintenance contract.
- Ability to work closely with Fuels and ATOC to support aircraft refueling and cargo requests.
- Strong coordination skills with Air Ops, AMC, ATOC, and T‑Line to resolve maintenance delays or operational issues.
